How we started

Two problems,
one business

Monaghsoft came from a frustration that most people who sell don't build, and most people who build don't sell. The gap between the two is where a lot of businesses lose money - either on software that never gets used or sales processes that never improve.

We're based in Monaghan and work with clients across Ireland. The work is hands-on: we come in, look at the actual problem, and do something about it. We write code, run training, build campaigns, and give direct advice - usually some combination of all four.

We're a small team, and we like it that way. Every client gets direct access to the person doing the work, not a layer of project management in between.

We say what we think

If something is a bad idea, we'll say so. That's more useful to you than someone who tells you what you want to hear and sends an invoice at the end.

Results, not activity

We don't count deliverables as success. The only thing that counts is whether the business is in a better position than when we started.

Built to last

Whether it's software or a sales process, we build things that hold up. Nothing we ship should need tearing down and starting again in a year.

You work with the people doing the work. No account managers, no ticket systems, no waiting three days for a reply to a simple question.

Shaun spent a decade in software engineering and enterprise sales before starting Monaghsoft. He still does both - which means the advice you get is grounded in what actually happens when you try to sell a product, not just what looks good on a slide.
